How to Play
Move Your Paddle
Move the paddle left and right using your mouse, arrow keys, or by touching and dragging on mobile. The paddle stays at the bottom of the screen — position it under the ball to keep it in play.
Launch the Ball
Click, tap, or press Space to launch the ball. The ball bounces off walls, the paddle, and bricks. Where the ball hits the paddle affects the bounce angle — hitting the edge sends it at a sharper angle, while the center sends it straight up.
Break the Bricks
Destroy all breakable bricks to clear the level. Colored bricks break in one hit, purple bricks take two hits, and grey bricks are unbreakable — you need to find a way around them. Each brick earns points, with combo bonuses for consecutive hits.
Collect Power-Ups
Destroyed bricks may drop power-ups. Catch them with your paddle to activate effects like wide paddle, multi-ball, fireball mode, fire cannons, or an extra life. Power-ups are essential for clearing the harder levels.
Clear All 5 Levels
Progress through 5 increasingly difficult levels, each with a unique firefighter-themed background and brick layout. You start with 3 lives. If the ball falls below the paddle, you lose a life. Lose all lives and it's game over — but you can enter your name for the high score board!
Tips & Strategies
▸ Use the Paddle Edges
Hitting the ball with the edge of the paddle creates sharper angles, letting you reach bricks in corners and behind unbreakable walls. Master angle control to clear tricky layouts without relying on power-ups.
▸ Prioritize Power-Ups
Always try to catch power-ups, even if it means risking the ball. The fireball and cannon power-ups can clear dozens of bricks in seconds. Extra lives are especially valuable in levels 4 and 5 where the layouts are punishing.
▸ Multi-Ball Strategy
When multi-ball activates, don't try to track every ball. Focus on keeping at least one ball alive by positioning your paddle in the center. The extra balls will clear bricks on their own before they fall.
▸ Fire Cannon Timing
When you get the cannon power-up, use it immediately on the hardest-to-reach bricks. The cannons shoot fireballs straight up, so position your paddle directly below the bricks you want to destroy. You have 20 seconds — make them count.
About the Power-Ups
Power-ups drop randomly from destroyed bricks (25% chance). Catch them with your paddle to activate their effect. Here are all five power-ups in the game:
Wide Paddle
Doubles the width of your paddle for 10 seconds, making it much easier to catch the ball. Great for recovering after losing a life or during hectic multi-ball moments.
Multi-Ball
Splits one ball into three, tripling your brick-breaking power. Even if you lose some balls, the remaining ones keep going. A game-changer on levels with lots of bricks.
Fireball
Turns the ball into a fireball that burns straight through bricks without bouncing off them. Lasts 10 seconds and can clear entire columns in one pass.
Extra Life
Adds one extra life to your reserves. Appears as a red heart dropping from a destroyed brick. Always worth catching — extra lives become critical in later levels.
Fire Cannons
Equips your paddle with twin fire cannons for 20 seconds. Click or tap to shoot fireballs upward that destroy bricks on contact. Comes with a satisfying woosh sound effect.
About the Levels
Each level features a unique firefighter-themed background and brick layout. The difficulty increases as you progress through all five stages.

Level 1 — Fire Station
A warm-up level set at a fire station at night. Simple row layout with standard bricks. Learn the controls and get comfortable with the paddle and ball physics.

Level 2 — Forest Wildfire
The scene shifts to a forest wildfire. A checkerboard pattern introduces 2-hit bricks that require two bounces to destroy. Ball speed increases slightly.

Level 3 — City Blaze
Downtown city ablaze with a burning skyscraper. Diamond-shaped brick formation with a mix of standard and reinforced bricks. Power-ups become essential to clear efficiently.

Level 4 — Factory Fire
Industrial factory engulfed in flames. A pyramid layout protected by unbreakable concrete pillars. You'll need to find angles around the pillars or use fireballs and cannons to break through.

Level 5 — The Inferno
A massive apocalyptic inferno. The fortress layout features walls of unbreakable bricks with strategic gaps. The ultimate challenge — only the best firefighters clear this level.
Hand-Eye Coordination & Reaction Training
Breakout-style games develop hand-eye coordination, reaction time, and spatial awareness — all critical skills for firefighters who must operate in fast-changing, high-pressure environments. Tracking a bouncing ball while managing power-ups trains the same cognitive functions used during emergency operations.
The five firefighter-themed levels showcase different emergency scenarios — from a quiet fire station to a full-scale urban inferno. Each background represents a real type of incident that fire departments respond to every day.
