Sky Water Bomber

Pilot a seaplane across burning forests — scoop water from the lake and drop it on fires to save the land!

How to Play

1

Take Off & Fly

Use the Up / Down arrow keys to change altitude (Up = climb, Down = dive) and Left / Right arrows to turn the plane around. Press A to speed up and Z to slow down. The plane wraps around the world edges, so keep flying in one direction to loop back.

2

Scoop Water from the Lake

Fly low over the lake to automatically fill your water tank. The tank fills faster at slower speeds. Watch the water gauge in the HUD — you need water to fight fires. The lake is always visible on the minimap at the bottom of the screen.

3

Drop Water on Fires

Fly over burning areas and hold Space to release a continuous stream of water. Larger fires require more water to extinguish. Focus on small fires first to prevent them from spreading. Each fire you put out earns points.

4

Avoid Crashing

Watch your altitude — crashing into terrain or trees costs a life! You start with 3 lives. Wind increases in later levels and affects both your plane and water drops. Use the compass at the top to track wind direction and speed.

5

Clear All 10 Levels

Extinguish every fire before time runs out to advance to the next level. Each level adds more fires, stronger winds, and tighter time limits. Complete levels quickly to earn time bonus points. Press P to pause and F for fullscreen.

Tips & Strategies

Plan Your Route

Use the minimap to locate all fires before taking off from the lake. Plan a route that hits multiple fires per water load. Flying back and forth to the lake wastes precious time — efficient routes are the key to high scores.

Slow Down for Scooping

Your water tank fills much faster at lower speeds. When approaching the lake, press Z to slow down and fly low. A full tank lets you tackle multiple fires before needing to return. Don't rush the refill — a half-empty tank wastes a trip.

Fight Wind with Altitude

In later levels, strong wind pushes your plane and water drops sideways. Fly higher to give yourself more room to correct course, and aim your water drops upwind of the fire to compensate for drift. Watch the compass for wind direction.

Small Fires First

Prioritize extinguishing small fires — they take less water and are quicker to put out. Large fires require multiple passes. Clearing small fires first reduces the total fire count faster, and each extinguished fire earns points toward your score.

About the Levels

Sky Water Bomber features 10 progressively harder levels. The terrain, fire count, wind strength, and time limits all increase as you advance through the campaign.

Levels 1–3 — Grasslands

Easy terrain with gentle hills and scattered trees. Few fires, generous time limits, and calm winds. Learn the controls: how to scoop water from the lake, adjust altitude, and release water over fires.

Levels 4–6 — Pine Forest

Denser tree coverage and more fires spread across the map. Wind begins to pick up, pushing your plane and water drops off course. Time limits tighten — efficient routes between the lake and fires become critical.

Levels 7–8 — Mountain Terrain

Tall terrain features and dense forest create challenging flying conditions. Strong winds, more fires, and less margin for error. Crashing into terrain costs a life — watch your altitude carefully.

Levels 9–10 — The Inferno

Maximum fire coverage with the toughest time limits. Extreme wind gusts make precision flying essential. Only the best aerial firefighters can extinguish every fire and earn the time bonus on these final levels.

Aerial Firefighting & Decision-Making

Aerial firefighting is a critical tool in wildland fire suppression. Real water bomber pilots face the same challenges modeled in this game — limited water capacity, wind interference, terrain hazards, and time pressure. Agencies like CAL FIRE and the U.S. Forest Service deploy fixed-wing air tankers and helicopters to support ground crews during large wildfire incidents.

This game develops spatial awareness, resource management, and rapid decision-making — skills that translate directly to emergency services operations. Planning efficient routes, prioritizing targets, and adapting to changing conditions are core competencies for firefighters at every level.
